Overall, we had a great time at Wahmeda. The location is great and the house comfortable. The washer/dryer was much appreciated!
The dock should be scrubbed and line put up before summer rentals begin. I spent a whole day cleaning the dock and putting up line to keep the birds off.
The kitchen could use spring cleaning and updated appliances. The lower cabinets smelled like mice and were not quite clean. The stove needed repair. The toaster and coffee maker should be replaced with newer models.
Although the living room furniture is really cute, it is not comfortable. In addition, there is no comfortable well lit place to read. The lamp shades are too small for the lamps and thus are less than ideal.
I replaced light bulbs in many of the wall lights (they had up to 100 watt bulbs which seemed a safety issue to me). These should really have low watt bulbs made for such light fixtures.
That said, the cottage is sweet and charming and the location ideal.
